Thea Bowman House employs 50 people and we are particularly interested in having a diverse staff which includes the people from the Sudan, Burma, the Dominican Republic, Haiti, and Puerto Rico. Since we work with a large refugee population, it is very important to employ people who speak the same languages as the children. A large number of our staff are people of African-American descent. One staff member said it well when she said that we are like one big family. |
